We, my wife Lesley and I were going to call this second episode “One more document” as that is what we always seemed to need in order to satisfy both the Romanian and British adoption authorities during the lengthy process of adopting an abandoned baby before she was transferred to an orphanage where her mental and bodily health would have deteriorated significantly and we thank God for eventually rewarding us with our beautiful daughter, Rebecca!

Conders making the 2,089 kilometer drive one way
At the time of releasing this video (29th November 2024), I have at last managed to release the second episode video footage which I shot during our five months spent in Romania and there are still several hours more of very moving segments of our inspiring encounters that many have found encouraging. Warning though, you will shed a tear or two.
I promised our adopted daughter Rebecca that I would one day make a decent presentation of this story before I “Popped my Clogs”.
God willing I will get to finish the whole account before I die.
To me there are two shining lights in this amazing story, my dear patient wife Lesley Conder and our lovely and beautiful adopted daughter Rebecca Mihaela Conder.
Our two sons, Luke and Joel were only five and four years of age when we set off from Thames Ditton in Surrey in an old, converted Post Office van packed with gifts for the poorer children in Romania which was shortly after the execution of the Romanian dictator, Nicolae Ceausescu.
Maybe one day it would make an inspiring NETFLIX story.
Blessings,
Howard
