Howard Conder was born in 1946 in a hospital in Kendal in the Lake District, a most beautiful part of England.
When Howard moved to Darlington County Durham around the age of six, he started school at Reid Street infants and then moved to the Arthur Pease infant School and his final school years were spent at Gladstone Street School.
