Back in the days when Howard first moved down to London having just left playing the drums for the Barron Knights, he began looking for work as a professional musician and soon discovered the place where all the Musos would meet was Denmark Street affectionately known as Tin Pan Alley.

If you needed to buy a musical instrument, or you were looking for a music publishing or record deal or looking to join a band, or even to make a demo, then you would go to this street off the Charing Cross Road near Soho. And the particular café to go to was the GiaConda where many in the music business would meet to chat and hope that some work would come your way or a good connection would make your day with while.

The GiaConda was THE place to be.

Howard met the present owner recently and he asked him if they could film inside his iconic cafe, he very kindly let them in to film this interview.

Howard said it is indeed a privilege to have such great memories of his early days in the music industry.
